Is there anything I need to bring to the Grüner Hügel?
In order to attend the performance, you need the following documents:
- Proof of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result, issued by an officially approved or recognised testing station on the day of the performance,
- Personalised ticket and
- Official ID document with a photograph.
Proof of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result is not required by those who can present proof of vaccination as of the 15th day after the last vaccination or by those who have recovered from Covid (with a vaccination after six months where applicable). Only the vaccines approved by the EMA will be accepted. The proof of vaccination or recovery must be provided by the visitor concerned.
These documents will be checked on each performance day in the registration centre on the grounds of the Bürgerreuth open-air pool uphill from the Festspielhaus (behind the top visitors’ car park, addresse: An der Bürgerreuth 8, 95445 Bayreuth). There you will be given a wristband with which you will be admitted to the Festspielhaus. If your documents have not been checked, it is not possible to gain entry to the Festspielhaus. The registration centre will open four hours before the beginning of the performance. Alternatively, you can have your documents checked in the Richard Wagner Museum (Richard-Wagner-Strasse 48, 95444 Bayreuth, open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or in the Tourist Information Bureau (Opernstrasse 22, 95444 Bayreuth, opening times: Mo. to Fr. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sa. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Su. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there your documents can be checked during the regular opening times from six hours before the beginning of the performance).
There are no arrangements concerning the order of admission to the Festspielhaus. It is only possible to enter the Festspielhaus by the door shown on the ticket.
Please allow sufficient time before the performance and make sure you are on the Grüner Hügel in good time. We would ask you to check for the latest information at www.bayreuther-festspiele.de.
We would also like to remind you again that it will be obligatory to wear an FFP2 mask during the performance as well.
